Looking Forward to GROW

GROW2011 ConferenceThis year iNovia is extremely excited to be supporting the 2011 GROW Conference in Vancouver. After its inaugural launch last summer led by the lovely and talented Debbie Landa (who we are excited to be working with in GrowLab) GROW has already become THE conference for the Canadian tech startup eco-system. This year is expected to be bigger and better building off the hype of last year. In the words of Debbie “I really set the bar high!”. We know that Debbie and her team are up for the challenge.

This year once again has an amazing lineup of iNovia logo (small)speakers consisting of leading entrepreneurs, investors and technology executives from across North America. Dealmaker Media recently released a sneak peak as what to expect.

Similar to last year, GROW2011 will be spread across 3 days:

  • Day 1: Mentorship – Invited Canadian entrepreneurs will be brought together with leading entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders from the Silicon Valley and across Canada.
  • Day 2: GROW Conference – Inspiration and lessons will be plentiful hearing from top entrepreneurs, investors and thought leaders.
  • Day 3: Outdoor Adventures – Take part in enjoying some of the best outdoor adventures in and around Vancouver.

Last year I had the opportunity to experience the first GROW Conference. I decided to spend 4 days in Vancouver and was surprised to see how many Grow attendees and speakers were already in the city before the conference. It was an amazing concentration of tech entrepreneurs, investors and evangelists and it wasn’t hard to find dinners, coffees and drinks to join around the city with other participants. This year I am planning to spend the whole week in Vancouver during GROW – lets connect!

Now the exciting stuff! We have been running a promotion on Twitter with Teralys to award a lucky person with 2 passes to GROW2011. The response to this giveaway has been so strong that we decided to select two people with passes to Grow. Furthermore, Grow sponsor Gunderson Dettmer decided to get in on the action and generously offered an additional 2 passes. This means that there will be 3 lucky recipients of passes to this year’s Grow Conference.

*Update – Thank you to everyone who participated in the “Send me to Grow” giveaway. The following people are heading to Grow!
